"Serenity" de Josh Whedon (Guión de cine)

Amigos Lectores y cinéfilos diversos:

Creo que esté va a ser el inicio de algo nuevo dentro del blog. Hasta ahora había realizado comentarios de libros, relatos, cuentos e historias. Sin embargo, no había realizado comentarios de obras de teatro (hay libros de ellas) y, por supuesto, de guiones de cine ( o de TV, puede que en algún momento comente alguno).

Así que en los casos de los guiones de cine o de series de TV pondré la portada de la película o serie en cuestión, pero también en algún caso una foto del propio guión si me es posible en ese momento.

Tengo que decir que leyendo este guión me vi trasladado a un futuro posible, y eso me gusto...

Claro, diréis, ¿cómo he llegado a saber de este guión?. Voy a ser sincero, un amigo nos hizo la recomendación de la película "Serenity" para ver y comentar en un podcast en el que participo sobre cine. Yo soy curioso y siempre que tengo la oportunidad leo los libros, si los hay, de la película (en este caso no tenía constancia de ninguno pero seguiré buscando), pero si me fue posible leer el guión. Eso me alegró, al menos me hice una imagen en mi mente de la película antes de verla. Así que ya tenía una imagen de todo en mi mente cuando he visto la película.

Lo primero decir que un guión de cine no es exactamente igual a un guión de teatro, pero sí tiene similitudes. Así que no lo voy a analizar como una obra de teatro pero si comprenderlo como tal. En los dos casos nos traslada una imagen más o menos clara y esquemática de lo que vamos a tener ante nosotros posteriormente en un escenario de teatro o una sala de cine.

Este guión como diría alguien muy amigo de Star Wars: "nos traslada a un futuro de la humanidad en una galaxia muy lejana..." Y, esa posibilidad existe realmente. Es algo factible.

Una vez llegados a este punto, al leer el guión he tenido la sensación y el recuerdo de Blade Runner o de la saga antes citada de Star Wars, pero también me recordó en cierto sentido Matrix. Percibí un detalle el nombre de la chica River para muchos se pronuncia muy parecida a Reaver. Saber si tiene algo que ver una cosa con otra no lo voy a desvelar, pero ya desde una comienzo me ha parecido muy interesante.

El papel de cada personaje, y la profundidad a la que podría llegarse  en su desarrollo es única. Tengo la certeza de que los actores cuadraron bien en ese elemento, eso sin olvidar la idea de aventuras estelares.

Descubrí al leerlo curiosidades sobre los idiomas que usan los personajes, inglés y chino... Eso trae otra vez la posibilidad de que sea un futuro factible y no sólo una posibilidad de ciencia-ficción.

Por otro lado tenemos desde un comienzo esa lucha entre la luz y la oscuridad, una oscuridad con dos vertientes: por un lado, la vertiente de los que "gobiernan" los planetas; por otro lado, la vertiente de los Reavers. Esa es la inicial percepción. Sin embargo, en la película se va a desvelar un secreto que debe permanecer oculto, un secreto que debería estar en el olvido. Los protagonistas hacen un viaje más allá de lo que el lector espera y el guión nos traslada las imágenes de ese viaje.

En definitiva, me ha parecido un guión muy interesante como lectura, y un previo genial antes de ver la película.

Una recomendación a meditar. Uno de los personajes le pide con insistencia al Capitán Reynolds que debe de creer en algo profundamente, no habla de Dios de forma concreta y directa, habla de creer en algo pues eso le puede ayudar a sobrevivir y a ser mejor. Ese personaje es un misterio, o quizá no tan misterio. Aquí se debe mirar el personaje más allá de lo que vemos, para llegar a una conclusión... Yo llegué a ella, ¿llegaréis vosotros?

No sé si os atreveréis con ello pero creo que es un trabajo interesante el de leer un guión antes de ver una película. La verdad ayuda a analizar con detalle el trabajo de los actores, y a los amantes del cine se nos debería de dar más veces esta posibilidad.

Realmente, transmito mi aplauso a Josh Whedon, me ha parecido un magnífico guión…

Sure, you say, how I came to know about this script?. I'll be honest, a friend made the recommendation of the movie "Serenity" to view and comment on a podcast in which I participate on film. I am curious and whenever I have the opportunity to read the books, if any, of the film (in this case had no record of any but keep looking), but if I could read the script. That pleased me, at least I got a picture in my mind of the film before seeing it. So you had a picture of everything in my mind when I saw the film.

The first thing to say that a screenplay is not exactly like a theater script, but it does have similarities. So I will not look like a play but if you understand it as such. In both cases transfers us a more or less clear and schematic of what we have before us later in a theater or a cinema.

This script would say someone close friend of Star Wars, "takes us to a future of humanity in a galaxy far away ..." And that possibility actually exists. It's feasible. 

Once at this point, to read the script I have the feeling and the memory of Blade Runner or the aforementioned saga of Star Wars, but also reminded me in some ways Matrix. I felt a detail girl's name is pronounced River for many much like Reaver. Know if you have something to do one thing with another I will not reveal, but from a start I found very interesting.

The role of each character, and the depth that could be reached in its development is unique. I have the certainty that snapped actors well in that element, not to forget the idea of ​​stellar adventures.

I discovered by reading trivia about the languages ​​that use characters, English and Chinese ... That brings again the possibility that it is a viable future and not just a possibility of science fiction.

On the other hand we have from the beginning that struggle between light and darkness, a darkness with two aspects: first, the slope of which "govern" the planets, on the other hand, the slope of the Reavers. That is the initial perception. However, the film is going to reveal a secret that must be hidden, a secret that should be forgotten. The protagonists make a trip beyond what the reader expects and the script takes us pictures from that trip.

In short, I found a very interesting script and read, and a great pre before seeing the movie.

A recommendation to meditate. One character asks insistently Captain Reynolds must believe in something deeply, does not speak of God in a concrete and direct talks believe in something because that can help you survive and be better. That character is a mystery, or maybe not so mysterious. Here is the character should look beyond what we see, to reach a conclusion ... I came to her, you will arrive?

I do not know if you will boldly with it but I think it is an interesting work to read a screenplay before seeing a movie. The truth helps analyze in detail the work of the actors, and movie lovers we should give more times this possibility.
