"FINAL WITNESS" de Simon Tolkien

Lectores que por primera vez escucháis hablar de este autor:

Existen instantes en los que hace falta ir más allá de un nombre, de un apellido, para ver que hay tras el título de una obra. Si soy sincero cuando me encontré con "Final Witness" de Simon Tolkien lo primero que pensé es que sería un libro de fantasía... 

Lo primero que tengo que decir es que me gustaría poder leerlo completo y en papel, no lo he leído completo por lo que voy ha hacer mi comentario en base a lo que sí he leído de dicha obra en formato digital, lo que me ha dejado los ojos agotados.

A lo que he podido leer le doy un aprobado, me ha gustado, podría decir que Random House ha acertado con el autor y la obra, y el autor nos ha entregado toda una cruzada llena de misterio e intriga, una pena que no haya una traducción al español para el público en general pues no todo el mundo es capaz de leer un libro en inglés. Si J.R.R. Tolkien era una suerte de profeta del pasado, tenemos con Simon Tolkien a un autor que nos desvela el secreto del misterio como si nos llevasen a ver una obra de teatro y nos fuese posible estar entre bastidores. La verdad es ademas se acerca al publico juvenil cuando hace que como en muchas obras actuales el protagonista al menos en el primer capítulo sea Thomas Robinson, cuya madre fue asesinada el 31 de Mayo del año anterior.

Ciertamente, el autor con ese inicio hace que se demuestre una de las posesiones más preciadas que puede tener un escritor: la capacidad de acercarse al lector y hacer que se implique en la obra.

Parafraseando al autor en un fragmento del segundo capítulo, "la vida de la obra no tiene glamour" si pensamos en lo que para muchos significa el apellido Tolkien, fantasía, ficción, épica...Claro, mucha gente no es capaz de ver en un relato, en una novela de misterio esas mismas cosas fantasía, ficción, épica; pero, si lo hace, pues en lo poco que he podido leer si me ha trasladado esa faz de la guerra de la muerte, del detalle que también se veía en J. R. R. Tolkien.

Creo que después de estas palabras el camino más corto sería invitar a todos vosotros a leer la obra si os es posible completa. En mi caso no ha podido ser así me he quedado con los capítulos gratuitos que tengo en mi IPod.  Yo espero conseguir la obra completa en papel para poder leerla integra y hacer un comentario mucho mejor y más completo que este.

There are moments when we need to go beyond a name, a last name, to see what's behind the title of a work. If I'm honest when I met "Final Witness" by Simon Tolkien first thought it would be a fantasy book ...

The first thing I have to say is that I wish I could read the whole thing on paper, have not read it completely so I had to make my comments based on what I do have read of the work into digital format, which has left me exhausted eyes.

In what I have read I give a thumbs up, I think, would say that Random House has hit with the author and the work, and the author has given us all a crusade full of mystery and intrigue, a pity that there is no Spanish translation for the general public because not everyone is able to read a book in English. If J.R.R. Tolkien was a sort of prophet of the past, with Simon Tolkien have an author who reveals the secret of the mystery like take us to see a play and we would be be between racks. The truth is also approaching the young audience when making many current works as the protagonist at least in the first chapter is Thomas Robinson, whose mother was killed on May 31 last year.


Certainly, the author makes this home a showing of the prized possessions that a writer can have: the ability to get close to the reader and to become involved in the work.

Paraphrasing the author in a fragment of the second chapter, "life is not glamorous work" if we think of what for many means the surname Tolkien, fantasy, fiction, epic ... Of course, many people are not able to see in a story, a murder mystery in the same things fantasy, fiction, epic, but if it does, because what little I have read if I moved the face of the war of death, which was also detail in J. R. R. Tolkien.


I think after these words the shortest way would be to invite all of you to read the book if you can complete. In my case it has been so I am left with free chapters I have on my IPod. I hope to get the complete works on paper to read it and to comment integrates much better and more complete than this.
